A Walk with S.Salter - performance

'A Walk with... S. Salter' is an audiovisual performance that combines a blend of intricate piano compositions with a visual narrative that appears somewhere between a memory and a dream.

At the heart of the performance is the music, created and performed live by Amsterdam and Berlin based duo ‘S. Salter’. They combine an innovative approach to sonic textures and production techniques to create tracks that transport you to different locations. Song by song, a journey is formed. ‘A Walk With… S. Salter’ is a visual performance that connects you to this journey.

The journey is visualised by taking 360 degree camera footage in the landscapes that inspired the soundscapes of ‘S. Salter’s’ music. These visuals are then projected and live VJ’d into the space, physically connecting the viewer to a multitude of environments which morphs in ways that feel tangible but not entirely real, as if they are stories from another person.

The 3 time sell out show has been featured across Europe in art institutes such as Nxt Museum (Amsterdam), Khroma New Media Art Center (Berlin), Projektil Art (Zurich) and has been adapted into an installation displayed at Aura Labs (Berlin).
