A Walk with S.Salter - installation

'A Walk with... S. Salter' is an audiovisual installation that combines a blend of intricate piano compositions with a visual narrative that appears somewhere between a memory and a dream.

The artwork started off as a live audiovisual performance and was adapted into a site specific installation for various new media art spaces in Berlin.

The installation is a visual performance that connects you to the journey of musical duo ‘S.Salter’. While writing their debut album ‘Juun’, they spent months in solitude writing and composing tracks that tell stories of nostalgia, longing and a search for the familiar.

The artwork is designed to visually connect you to this journey. Practically the installation uses 360 degree camera footage from the landscapes that inspired the soundscapes of ‘S.Salter’s’ music.

These visuals are then projected into the space, physically connecting the viewer to a multitude of environments which morphs in ways that feel tangible but not entirely real, as if they are stories from another person.
