Rug created in collaboration with type designer Jacob Wise.

The design is based off the traditional Dutch wooden ornaments ‘Geveltekens’. These ornaments are a dynamic expression of folk culture and historically were believed to have a religious or protective meaning, often used to ward off evil spirits, magic, or demons.
